NOTE: Fluorescent T5 Tubes length is shorter than standard T8 Tubes.

Armadillo LED - Barracuda T5 LED Tubes series are built to fit length into existing fittings.

There is No Requirement to change fitting.

* 5000K is most friendly, preferential and accepted colour render for all internal type lighting application.

      Rugged 85V - 265VAC design for long life, huge efficiency and equivalent light levels to existing T8 or T10 tubes, not seen before from LED fluorescent replacements. Surface mount 3528 LED's ensure good thermal bonding and even light placement throughout the tube. No 'sea scape' or rippled light seen from DIL led tubes.

      Easy to replace?

            Simply remove or by-pass your ballast. Remove starter form the existing circuit and replace it with Armadillo LED Starter - and your existing fittings are ready to use your Barracuda tubes.

      We supply individual tubes to replace existing, or complete LED chassis with our LED Tubes fitted. Ideal for installation in volume, or for ease of fitments in any office or factory. High brightness 6/7Lm per LED, from 3000K; 4100K; 5000K to 6500K options available.

LED Starter (fuse) - Y1ASTA;  

ACRYLIC LENS OPTIONS:

      CLEAR - Maximum light output for placing behind diffusers, or where high light level is required.

      OPAQUE - Ideal retrofit replacement with CAT2 Louvre, and any other “open” fixtures. Clean aesthetic colour, used in areas with direct eye contact.

HIGH GRADE BONDED PCB and EXTRUSION for greater heat dissipation and light duration.

HIGH CLASS ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS - including RUBYCON Capacitors

WIRING CONNECTION - Safety benefit of wiring connection. Work on any standard existing magnetic ballast wiring.

      MAGNETIC Ballast - NO REWIRING IS REQUIRED, Barracuda LED Tubes will work with any magnetic ballast, however it is recommended to bypass or remove ballast for further energy savings. Replace (if in situ) exiting starter with ArmadilloLED Starter (1A fuse)

      ELECTRONIC Ballast - IT required to remove electronic ballast as Barracuda LED lamps are Solid State Lighting - not a discharge gas lamps, where fluorescent tube would be controlled electronically.

Requirement to ensure the pins on either side of the tube are without electricity when only one side of the tube is connected to the lamp frame. Additional isolation replacement for existing starter also provided.

BE AWARE of OTHER fitting and re-wiring requirement for some LED Tubes available on market.

Many serious defects (that endanger the safety) were found in the performed partial tests to fulfill the market surveillance needs.

During mounting the free end connector of the led tube might be live.

Protection against electric shock in the case of one-sided insertion (EN 60598-1, 8.2.1 and Annex A) was missing in tested Led T8 tubes.
